🌊 This year, one non-profit organization delivered measurable results for the ocean - removing and intercepting plastic at a scale that’s rarely seen, and proving that progress doesn’t have to be hypothetical.

Nordic cuisine has always been shaped by necessity: long winters, limited ingredients, and a deep respect for what the land can provide. This one-pot dish reflects that tradition perfectly.

Lentils are a climate-smart protein powerhouse. Compared to meat, they require a fraction of the land and water, while naturally enriching soil by fixing nitrogen. Root vegetables like carrots, parsnips, and potatoes are seasonal winter staples that store well without energy-intensive refrigeration.

🧴 Bathroom products are a hidden plastic hotspot. Shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and cleaning sprays often come in thick, multi-layer plastic that’s rarely recycled.

Action:
🌱 Across the EU, refill options for personal care and cleaning products are becoming more common. Supermarkets, drugstores, and package-free shops increasingly offer refills for detergents, dish soap, and hand soap, driven by EU packaging rules and growing demand to cut plastic waste.
